Sunlight - Full Sun to partial Shade

Soil - Adaptable to various soil types, including clay, loam, and sand as long as it is well- drained

Water - water regularly until established, then it becomes drought-tolerant. Water only during periods of extreme drought. 

 

Size: Grows to about 1-2 feet tall with a 2-3 foot spread.

Color: Burgundy-red foliage, with bright red fall color

Flowers: Small, yellow flowers in the spring, which are not considered ornamental

Fruit: Small red berries in the fall that attracts birds

Maintenance: Low maintenance and requires little to no pruning, though it shaped in later winter if desired.
