Cost Share Programs

The South Big Horn Conservation districts offers multiple cost share programs to the citizens of South Big Horn County. The district offers incentives to implement farm, ranch and forestland conservation practices to protect soil productivity, water quality and quantity, air quality and wildlife habitat; which purify water and provide habitat for birds, fish and other animals; Protect groundwater resources; Assist communities and homeowners in planting trees and other land cover to hold soil in place, clean the air, provide cover for wildlife, and beautify neighborhoods.

WDA RHAP

WDA RHAP program provides an avenue for the permittees to be more involved in adaptive management strategies, founding decisions based on scientifically defensible data, and credible monitoring data for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements essential for permit renewals.  Cost share is 70/30 up to $20,000.

WDA Water Quality Grant

WDA WQ program offers a 70/30 cost share up to $20,000. Projects should improve Best Management Practices. For a full BMP list please click the button below.

WDEQ 319-Program

The CWA Section 319 grant supports locally-led, voluntary projects that address non-point sources of pollution to Wyoming's surface and groundwater. Grant funds primarily support "on-the-ground" watershed restoration or protection projects. Cost share is 60/40.

WWDC SWPP

Wyoming Water Development Small Water program offers a 50/50 cost share up to $35,000 and must provide a public benefit.
